Kevin O'Hara

Chairman
Kevin O'Hara is the chief executive officer at Integra Telecom, a provider of fiber-based, business-grade networking, communication and cloud solutions. Kevin has also served as executive chairman for Troppus Software, a provider of customer care and technical support solutions for service providers. Prior to Troppus, Kevin co-founded Level 3 Communications, a leading international provider of fiber-based communication services.

While at Level 3, Kevin served as the company’s chief operating officer from March 1998 to March 2008 and its president from July 2000 to March 2008. During his tenure, Level 3 grew to approximately $4.3 billion in annual revenue. Before co-founding Level 3, Kevin served as president and chief executive officer of Metropolitan Fiber Systems (MFS) Global Network Services, Inc., from 1995 to 1997; as senior vice president of MFS and president of MFS Development Inc., from October 1992 to August 1995; and as a vice president of MFS Telecom, Inc., from 1990 to 1992. Under his leadership at MFS, annual revenue grew to more than $2 billion. Kevin left MFS after it was sold to WorldCom for approximately $14.5 billion.

Kevin currently serves on the boards of Integra Telecom, a privately held communications company based in Portland, Ore., and RigNet, Inc., a communications service provider primarily targeting the oil and gas industry in over 30 countries. Kevin holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Drexel University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Erik Benson

Director
Erik Benson is a managing director with Voyager Capital where he focuses on investments in digital media, software and enabling technologies. He is currently a board member of AboutUs, Act-On Software, Covario, Elemental Technologies, Kryptiq, Lighter Capital, and Mobile Intelligence Solutions. Erik was previously responsible for Voyager’s investment in aQuantive (acquired by Microsoft) and CapitalStream (acquired by HCL Technologies).

Prior to Voyager, in 1998 Erik held executive marketing and sales positions at Mimix Inc., a pioneer in the area of facial motion capture for game software development. He also served in staff roles at Perkin-Elmer Corporation and the Washington Research Foundation. Erik started his career in New York City at Chemical Banking Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase), advising and financing private equity clients. Erik holds a B.A. in economics from Pacific Lutheran University and an M.B.A. with honors from Harvard Business School. He is a Trustee of the Nordic Heritage Museum.

Samuel Blackman

Chief Executive Officer 
Sam brings extensive management experience and video processing expertise to the Elemental team as chief executive officer. He has grown Elemental into the leading supplier of video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, building innovative products used by leading video content and service providers. Prior to co-founding Elemental in 2006, Sam designed integrated circuit products for Pixelworks.

Before joining Pixelworks in 2000, Sam held engineering positions at Silicon Graphics and Intel Corporation. He is a frequent presenter and source for leading trade and news organizations given his deep industry knowledge. Sam holds an M.B.A. from University of Oregon, an M.S. in electrical engineering from University of California at Berkeley and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Brown University.

Bruce Chizen

Director
As the former CEO of Adobe systems, Inc. Bruce transformed the firm into one of the world’s largest and most diversified software companies in terms of revenue, global reach and breadth of products. As CEO from 2000 to 2007, he tripled Adobe's revenue and turned a company known mainly for its popular design products into one of the most significant forces in the software industry. During his tenure, Adobe consistently ranked near the top of Fortune Magazine's annual report on the “100 Best Companies to Work For.”

In 1987, Bruce joined Claris Corporation, a subsidiary of Apple Computer, Inc., as a founding senior manager and later held positions as vice president of sales and worldwide marketing before becoming vice president and general manager of Claris Clear Choice. Before Claris, he joined Microsoft Corporation in 1983, eventually becoming the company’s eastern region sales director. From 1980 to 1983, he worked in Mattel Electronics’ merchandising group, helping grow it to a $500 million business. Bruce holds a B.S. from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He currently serves on the boards of Oracle, NDS and Synopsys, Inc. as well as a number of not-for-profit boards.

Bob Greenberg

Director
Bob is a high-tech entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in growing companies and bringing complex technologies to market. He is a founder and former CTO of Pixelworks, Inc., Prior to Pixelworks, Bob was an engineering manager at InFocus, Inc., a leading manufacturer of business and home theatre projectors. While at InFocus, Bob was responsible for many of the breakthrough projector products that made the company a market leader.

Bob has also held electrical engineering positions at Integrated Measurement Systems (now part of Credence), Floating Point Systems (now part of Sun) and Sperry Univac (now Unisys). Bob received his engineering degrees, a B.S. in electrical engineering and a B.S. in computer engineering, from the University of Michigan.

Scott Hilleboe is a General Partner with Steamboat Ventures where he focuses on investments in digital media, consumer Internet, and enabling technologies.  Scott's current investments include Baynote, EdgeCast Networks, Elemental Technologies, FreeWheel, GameSalad, Kapow Technologies, MediaBank, Mobile Intelligence Solutions, and Photobucket.  Scott's prior investments include Fastclick (IPO and then acquired by ValueClick), Greystripe (acquired by ValueClick), Kyte (acquired by KIT Digital), MerchantCircle (acquired by Reply.com), Move Networks (acquired by EchoStar), PopularMedia (acquired by StrongMail), and Quigo (acquired by AOL).  

Prior to joining Steamboat, Scott was an investment professional with Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.  He participated in funding Jareva Technologies (acquired by Symantec), Yosemite Technologies (acquired by Barracuda Networks), Cenzic, and Voltage Security.  Scott has worked at industry leading enterprises IBM, LaSalle Partners and Synopsys, as well as a number of early stage technology companies.  Scott received a BS in Mechanical Engineering, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the University of Washington, and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Neil invests in both new and existing technology businesses. Areas of special interest include Internet and new media, software, consumer services, and network infrastructure. He is currently a board member of DECA, Eons, Highwinds Network Group, Visible Measures, ViTrue, and ScanScout. He is a board observer for Brightcove, rPath and Qumas and is actively involved with BlackDuck, ITA Software and Maven.

Neil joined General Catalyst Partners from Time Warner where he was most recently managing director, technology for Time Warner Investments, formerly AOL Time Warner Ventures. During his four years at Time Warner, he worked closely with various operating groups including AOL, HBO, Time, Inc., Time Warner Cable, Turner and Warner Bros. to identify investment opportunities. Neil sourced, led and was actively involved with the boards of several of the companies within the Time Warner Investments portfolio including Arroyo Video Solutions (Cisco), BigBand Networks, Entropic, Goldpocket Interactive (Tandberg), N2Broadband (Tandberg), and Waterfront Media. he holds a B.A. in economics from University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
