2014 TV Technology Best of Show

Elemental is the recipient of NewBay Media's Best of Show Award, presented at the 2014 NAB Show in Las Vegas by TV Technology magazine. Elemental was recognized for its excellence in real-time 4K HEVC video processing.

2014 Video Edge Best of Show

Elemental is the recipient of NewBay Media's Best of Show Award, presented at the 2014 NAB Show in Las Vegas by Video Edge magazine. Elemental was recognized for advancements to its Elemental Cloud platform.

2014 Digital Studio Awards

Elemental came up the winner at the Digital Studio Awards in the Technology Implementation category. The winners were announced during a gala event at CABSAT in Dubai on March 12, 2014.

2014 SCTE Technological Innovation Awards

Elemental was named one of three semifinalists for an SCTE Technological Innovation Award in the category of Best Digital Processing Solution.

2014 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon

Elemental is named among the 2014 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon as determined by Oregon Business magazine. Rankings were announced on February 27th during a banquet at the Oregon Convention Center.

2014 TV Connect Industry Awards

The TV Connect Awards celebrate excellence, innovation, and achievement in the global IP, TV and connected entertainment markets. In 2014, Elemental was shortlisted in the Best Multiscreen Solution category. Award winners were announced at a gala celebration in London on March 19, 2014.

2013 Streaming Media Europe 101

In 2013, Elemental was among the companies included in the Streaming Media Europe 101. According to editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, “All of the companies that made the final 101 are making noise in their own neighborhoods, and plenty of them are gaining recognition on the world stage.”

2013 Streaming Media Readers' Choice Awards

Elemental was named the winner of three Streaming Media Readers' Choice Awards in 2013: Encoding Software, Hardware Encoder (On-Demand) and MPEG-DASH Product. Winners were announced at Streaming Media West during an awards ceremony on November 20.

2013 Deloitte Technology Fast 500

Elemental ranked 26 on the 2013 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. Elemental is the most highly ranked company in Oregon on this year’s list and the ninth most highly ranked software company.

2013 Streaming Media 100

In 2013, Elemental was among the companies included in Streaming Media's list of 100 companies that matter most in online video. According to editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, "when stakeholders find themselves turning to online video to deliver and view the content they need, the companies listed here lower the barriers.”

2013 Leading Lights Awards

Elemental was named a finalist in Light Reading’s Leading Lights Awards in the Best New Product (Cable) category. The award recognizes potentially cutting-edge products that enable the launch of profitable next-generation cable services. Winners were announced at the awards ceremony at The Out in New York City on October 1, 2013.

2013 ConnectedWorld.TV Awards

Elemental was named the winner of the Best Delivery Technology award by ConnectedWorld.TV on September 16, 2013 at IBC in Amsterdam. The ConnectedWorld.TV awards honor creative broadcasters as well as innovative technology companies and consumer electronics manufacturers.

2013 Cable & Satellite International Shortlist

Elemental was named the winner by Cable & Satellite International in the digital video processing technology category at the annual awards ceremony at IBC 2013. The CSI Awards are one of the most comprehensive and competitive technology awards in the world, designed to reward technical and product marketing excellence in the cable, satellite, terrestrial broadcasting, mobile and IPTV sectors.

2013 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies

With exceptional growth over the last three years, Elemental ranks at number six on the Portland Business Journal's 2013 list of the 100 fastest-growing private companies in the Portland region. Ranking organizations were celebrated at a countdown awards ceremony on June 20, 2013.

2013 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Elemental CEO and Co-founder Sam Blackman was honored in 2013 by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in the Pacific Northwest. The awards program recognizes high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and commitment to their businesses and communities.

2013 GeekWire Awards

2013 Oregon Technology Awards

Elemental was honored as the 2013 Technology Growth Company of the Year by the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO). The award was announced at a ceremony on April 25, 2013 at the Portland Art Museum. Click here for more information about the awards, finalists and winners.

2013 Streaming Media All-Stars

Each year, Streaming Media magazine celebrates the people who are key players in the video industry and who continue to drive innovation. Sam Blackman, CEO and co-founder of Elemental, is one of ten executives named as a 2013 Streaming Media All-Star.

2013 Multichannel News 40 Under 40

Each year, Multichannel News honors 40 movers and shakers under the age of 40 helping their companies grow and succeed and playing a role in mapping the future of multichannel video and telecommunications. Sam Blackman, Elemental CEO and co-founder, was named to the list of executives to receive this honor in 2013.

SCTE Technological Innovation Award

Elemental is one of three semifinalists for an SCTE Technological Innovation Award in the category of Best Digital Processing Solution. The winners were announced at the SCTE annual Gala Dinner on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Drapers' Hall in London.

Each year, Portland Business Journal honors executives under the age of forty who demonstrate outstanding character, achievement and involvement in their career and communities. Elemental continues to climb the Forbes’ list of America’s Most Promising Companies. 2013 is the second consecutive year Elemental landed on the prestigious list and jumped up 30+ places from #54 in 2012 to #23 in 2013. The list features 100 privately held up and coming companies.

Oregon's Most Admired Companies 2012

Each year, the Portland Business Journal honors Oregon's most admired CEOs and companies. In 2012 Sam Blackman, Elemental CEO and co-founder, was named CEO of the Year in the Technology category. Ranking organizations and individuals were celebrated at an awards ceremony on December 6.

Communications Technology Platinum Awards

Elemental Live was named a finalist in the 2012 Communications Technology Platinum Awards 'Mult-Screen Video Solution or Deployment' category. The Platinum Awards recognize excellence in technology and marketing. Winners were announced on October 17 at the 2012 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Orlando.

Every year Inc. magazine ranks America’s 500 fastest growing private companies. In 2012, Elemental secured the #1 spot in Oregon, the #2 position in the software segment nationally, and the #52 rank overall on this comprehensive and prestigious list.

Nvidia named Elemental a company to watch at the 2012 GPU Technology Summit. The "One to Watch" award is given to stand-out firms at the Emerging Companies Summit, which showcases startups using GPUs to disrupt markets and delight customers.

Elemental is the proud recipient of the 2011 Award for Innovation in Media Arts from the Oregon Governor's Office of Film and Television. The award is granted in appreciation of extraordinary efforts in advancing Oregon's media industry.

BTR 2011 Diamond Technology Reviews

The BTR Diamond Technology Reviews is a renowned industry program developed to recognize top products and solutions available to the broadcast industry as determined by a panel of MSO engineering experts. Awarded 4 Diamonds, Elemental Live placed among the highest scoring products in 2011.

Streaming Media 100

In 2011, Elemental is among the companies that made the cut for inclusion in Streaming Media's 100 companies that matter most in online video. According to Streaming Media editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, each company "has made the online video industry what it is today and is pushing it towards the future.”

2011 Leading Lights Awards

2011 OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards

Elemental was honored twice at the 18th annual Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony on September 21, 2011. Elemental won in the Working Capital category and Elemental CEO, Sam Blackman, took home the Entrepreneurship Award for Individual Achievement. For 20 years, OEN has acted as a local advocate for entrepreneurial activity and is the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state of Oregon.

2011 Streaming Media Editors' Pick

Each year, the editors of Streaming Media Magazine compile a list of ten truly innovative streaming products that "deserve praise without reservation." As an Editors' Pick, Elemental Live was selected for its dense encoding capabilities and was featured alongside Adobe's Mercury Playback Engine, the Apple iPad and the Roku XDS. 2010 OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards

Elemental was named a finalist in the 17th annual Oregon Entrepreneurs Network Awards in the Working Capital category. OEN, the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state, has a rigorous selection process for recognizing ambitious local companies in various stages of growth and development. Award finalists are considered to be leaders in Oregon's entrepreneur community.

2010 TV Technology Mario Award

At NAB 2010, Elemental Live took home a Mario Award presented by TV Technology magazine. Each year at NAB, Mario Orazio – TV Technology magazine's "Masked Engineer" – searches the show floor for what he considers to be the "Top Ten" most innovative products that demonstrate forward-thinking and technical excellence. Many awarded products from prior years have gone on to significantly impact the future of video technology.

2009 Oregon Technology Awards

Elemental was recognized at the 2009 Oregon Technology Awards, named one of three finalists for the Emerging Company of the Year. The award is given to the company whose growth in the past year puts it on track to make a positive impact in its markets and on the regional technology community. OnMedia 100

Elemental won the OnMedia 100 Award 2009 for pushing the boundaries of innovation and creating revolutionary, new products in a struggling economic market. The award is given to 100 private, emerging technology companies in media-related fields.
