Each year, Streaming Media magazine celebrates the people who are key players in the video industry and who continue to drive innovation. Sam Blackman, CEO and co-founder of Elemental, is one of ten executives named as a 2013 Streaming Media All-Star.

Each year, Multichannel News honors 40 movers and shakers under the age of 40 helping their companies grow and succeed and playing a role in mapping the future of multichannel video and telecommunications. Sam Blackman, Elemental CEO and co-founder, was named to the list of executives to receive this honor in 2013.

Elemental is one of three semifinalists for an SCTE Technological Innovation Award in the catagory of Best Digital Processing Solution. The winners will be annoucned at the SCTE annual Gala Dinner on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Drapers' Hall in London.

Elemental is named among the 2013 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon as determined by Oregon Business magazine. Rankings were announced on February 28th during a banquet at the Oregon Convention Center.

Each year, Portland Business Journal honors executives under the age of forty who demonstrate outstanding character, achievement and involvement in their career and communities. This year, Elemental CTO and co-founder Jesse Rosenzweig joined a handful of Pacific Northwest executives to receive this distinguished award. The list of 2013 award winners can be viewed here.

Elemental continues to climb the Forbes’ list of America’s Most Promising Companies. 2013 is the second consecutive year Elemental landed on the prestigious list and jumped up 30+ places from #54 in 2012 to #23 in 2013. The list features 100 privately held up and coming companies.

Each year, the Portland Business Journal honors Oregon's most admired CEOs and companies. In 2012 Sam Blackman, Elemental CEO and co-founder, was named CEO of the Year in the Technology category. Ranking organizations and individuals were celebrated at an awards ceremony on December 6. 

In 2012, Elemental is among the companies included in Streaming Media's list of 100 companies that matter most in online video. According to editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, these "companies continue to innovate and grow not just their customer base but the industry as a whole.” 

Elemental landed at number nine in The Oregonian's ranking of the best workplaces in Oregon and southwest Washington. The list represents a wide range of companies in the region with results determined solely through employee input. Click here to learn more about the list.

Elemental Live was named a finalist in the 2012 Communications Technology Platinum Awards 'Mult-Screen Video Solution or Deployment' category. The Platinum Awards recognize excellence in technology and marketing. Winners wer announced on October 17 at the 2012 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Orlando.

Every year Inc. magazine ranks America’s 500 fastest growing private companies. In 2012, Elemental secured the #1 spot in Oregon, the #2 position in the software segment nationally, and the #52 rank overall on this comprehensive and prestigious list.

With exceptional growth over the last two years, Elemental ranks at number seven on the Portland Business Journal's 2012 list of the 100 fastest-growing private companies in the Portland region. Ranking organizations were celebrated at a countdown awards ceremony on June 21st, 2012.

Nvidia named Elemental a company to watch at the 2012 GPU Technology Summit. The "One to Watch" award is given to stand-out firms at the Emerging Companies Summit, which showcases startups using GPUs to disrupt markets and delight customers.

Elemental Technologies is named among the 2012 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon as determined by Oregon Business magazine. Rankings were announced on March 1 during a banquet at the Oregon Convention Center.

Elemental is the proud recipient of the 2011 Award for Innovation in Media Arts from the Oregon Governor's Office of Film and Television. The award is granted in appreciation of extraordinary efforts in advancing Oregon's media industry.

Forbes' list of America’s Most Promising Companies features 100 privately held up-and-comers with compelling business models, strong management teams, notable customers, strategic partners and precious investment capital. Elemental checks in at number 54.

The BTR Diamond Technology Reviews is a renowned industry program developed to recognize top products and solutions available to the broadcast industry as determined by a panel of MSO engineering experts. Awarded 4 Diamonds, Elemental Live placed among the highest scoring products in 2011.

In 2011, Elemental is among the companies that made the cut for inclusion in Streaming Media's 100 companies that matter most in online video. According to Streaming Media editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, each company "has made the online video industry what it is today and is pushing it towards the future.” 

Elemental is a finalist in Light Reading’s Leading Lights Awards in the Best New Product (Cable) category. The award recognizes potentially cutting-edge products that enable the launch of profitable next-generation cable services. Winners will be announced at an awards dinner at Hudson Terrace in New York City on November 8, 2011. 

Elemental was honored twice at the 18th annual Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony on September 21, 2011. Elemental won in the Working Capital category and Elemental CEO, Sam Blackman, took home the Entrepreneurship Award for Individual Achievement. For 20 years, OEN has acted as a local advocate for entrepreneurial activity and is the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state of Oregon. 

Each year, the editors of Streaming Media Magazine compile a list of ten truly innovative streaming products that "deserve praise without reservation." As an Editors' Pick, Elemental Live was selected for its dense encoding capabilities and was featured alongside Adobe's Mercury Playback Engine, the Apple iPad and the Roku XDS. Elemental was named a finalist in the 17th annual Oregon Entrepreneurs Network Awards in the Working Capital category. OEN, the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state, has a rigorous selection process for recognizing ambitious local companies in various stages of growth and development. Award finalists are considered to be leaders in Oregon's entrepreneur community.

At NAB 2010, Elemental Live took home a Mario Award presented by TV Technology magazine. Each year at NAB, Mario Orazio – TV Technology magazine's "Masked Engineer" – searches the show floor for what he considers to be the "Top Ten" most innovative products that demonstrate forward-thinking and technical excellence. Many awarded products from prior years have gone on to significantly impact the future of video technology.

Elemental was recognized at the 2009 Oregon Technology Awards, named one of three finalists for the Emerging Company of the Year.  The award is given to the company whose growth in the past year puts it on track to make a positive impact in its markets and on the regional technology community. Elemental won the OnMedia 100 Award 2009 for pushing the boundaries of innovation and creating revolutionary, new products in a struggling economic market.  The award is given to 100 private, emerging technology companies in media-related fields.
