With Elemental Server, you can deliver more video to any screen, at anytime, all at once – with a single system. Unlike competing solutions, Elemental Server uses a massively parallel architecture to achieve high-density transcoding. For large-scale applications where multiple encoding platforms are needed, Elemental Server offers increased outputs with a reduced hardware footprint. 

 

Elemental Server generates assets for adaptive bit rate protocols, including Dynamic Streaming for Adobe Flash, Smooth Streaming for Microsoft Silverlight, and Apple HTTP Adaptive Streaming for the iPod, iPhone and iPad. In addition, Elemental Server integrates seamlessly into a broadcast workflow with support for digital content delivery systems and compatibility with third-party automation and playout equipment.

Deliver the highest quality encoding with cutting-edge H.264, VC-1 and MPEG-2 codecs developed by Elemental specifically for the GPU. In addition, GPU processing reduces system overhead and enables maximum video throughput. Customized algorithms allow for compute-intensive tasks to run on the GPU, including motion adaptive deinterlacing, scene change detection, MPEG-2 deblocking, noise reduction, lanczos scaling and temporal filtering. 

 

A single system is designed to accommodate multiple inputs and convert and output a mix of files at different resolutions and bit rates for multiplatform delivery. At full capacity, Elemental Server can output up to twelve independent HD files or 32 mobile video files in faster than real time, formatted for an array of target devices.

An intuitive web-based interface allows operators to deploy and run Elemental Server immediately. Preconfigured settings are provided for the most common and popular output formats and REST/XML APIs allow for full system control and quick and easy integration into existing workflows.
